Massage during pregnancy is a safe and extremely effective way to ease the discomforts of pregnancy and honor your amazing body and baby. It is also effective in helping both the body and mind to prepare for birth and practice the art of softening and surrendering. Kate is a skilled prenatal therapist who has worked with pregnant mamas for many years and loves to help women get relief from the aches, pains and swelling in their ever changing bodies. This work will help to make more space and a feeling of greater openness for both mother and baby.

Come alone or bring your partner or birth support person for an individualized session that will help you get to know your birthing body more in depth and learn techniques to help you prepare for birth and that will increase your confidence in your birthing body and help to make more space in the pelvis for your baby to come through. These sessions are most appropriate for women beginning around 28 weeks. Ideally a 3 session series would happen at 28 weeks, 31 weeks and 34 weeks.

This is a holistic massage adapted for the specific needs and concerns of new moms including techniques to relieve muscle tension & over stretched muscles, balance hormones, address fatigue & loss of sleep, restore muscle tone and proper postural alignment, ease symptoms of the baby blues or post partum depression, and in case of c-section, encourage proper healing of c-section scars.
